Publication Ethics

The Frontier Journal of Multidisciplinary Science (FJMS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure that all parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—adhere to ethical standards in scholarly publishing.

Duties of Authors

Authors are responsible for submitting original and authentic research that has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal. All data presented in the manuscript must be accurate, reliable, and honestly reported without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation. Authors should properly acknowledge the work of others through accurate citations and references and must avoid plagiarism in all forms.

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research, manuscript preparation, or interpretation of the findings. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission. Authors are also required to disclose any financial support, funding sources, or potential conflicts of interest that may influence the interpretation of the research. When significant errors are identified after publication, authors have an ethical obligation to promptly notify the Editorial Office and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions when necessary.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the scientific quality, originality, significance, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope. Editorial decisions must not be influenced by the authors' race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, political beliefs, or religious background.

Editors must ensure that every manuscript undergoes a fair, objective, and confidential review process. They are responsible for selecting qualified reviewers, maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, managing conflicts of interest, and taking appropriate action when ethical concerns arise. Editors should follow COPE guidelines in addressing allegations of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, citation manipulation, or other forms of publication misconduct.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers play an essential role in maintaining the quality of scholarly publications by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers should assess manuscripts based on scientific merit, methodological rigor, originality, clarity, ethical compliance, and relevance to the field of study.

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers should not use unpublished information for personal advantage and must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality. If reviewers identify similarities with previously published work, plagiarism, ethical concerns, or substantial errors, they should immediately inform the Editor.

Publication Integrity

The Frontier Journal of Multidisciplinary Science (FJMS) does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate submission, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, image manipulation, or any other form of academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards may be rejected, corrected, retracted, or removed from publication in accordance with COPE recommendations.

The journal is committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and fairness throughout the editorial and publication process. Allegations of publication misconduct will be investigated thoroughly and handled according to internationally recognized ethical guidelines. Where necessary, corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions will be issued to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence or appear to influence the research, editorial decisions, or peer-review process. Potential conflicts of interest should be declared at the time of manuscript submission or reviewer invitation. When conflicts exist, appropriate measures will be taken to ensure an impartial evaluation.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right to publish and disseminate the article. Articles published in the Frontier Journal of Multidisciplinary Science (FJMS) are distributed under the journal's selected open-access license, allowing readers to access, read, download, and share published content in accordance with the applicable licensing terms.

Ethical Oversight

Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional regulations. Authors should state that ethical approval has been obtained from the appropriate ethics committee when required and confirm that informed consent has been obtained from research participants. The Editorial Board reserves the right to request supporting documentation regarding ethical approval whenever necessary.
